Privacy Policy

Prestige Oil Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use our website at prestigeoilco.com (the “Site”) or place a heating oil delivery order with us.

Information we collect
When you place an order or contact us, we collect the information you provide: first and last name, residential or business street address, ZIP code, telephone number, email address, tank location notes, gallons ordered, delivery preference, and selected payment method. For card and Zelle payments, payment details are collected by phone during the confirmation call and are not stored on the Site.
We also automatically collect limited technical information when you visit the Site, including your IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages viewed. This information is used for security, fraud prevention, and basic analytics.

How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Schedule, deliver, and invoice your heating oil order;
- Send you order confirmations, scheduling updates, and delivery receipts;
- Respond to questions, support requests, and complaints;
- Comply with applicable tax and recordkeeping obligations;
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- Send you a future reorder reminder or seasonal communication, if you have purchased from us before.

Sharing & disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share your information only with: (i) trusted service providers who perform services on our behalf (such as email delivery, SMS notification, and website hosting) and who are contractually obligated to protect your information; (ii) law enforcement or government agencies when required by valid legal process; and (iii) any successor entity in the event of a sale, merger, or transfer of substantially all of our business.

Data retention
We retain order records for a minimum of seven (7) years to comply with New York State tax recordkeeping requirements. Marketing communications may be sent based on delivery history; you may opt out at any time by replying STOP to an SMS or by using the unsubscribe link in any email.

Cookies & analytics
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep the Site functioning correctly. We use a privacy-respecting analytics platform (Plausible Analytics) to understand which pages perform well; this analytics data does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors.

Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted database storage, encrypted transit (TLS), restricted employee access, and routine security review. No system is perfectly secure; in the unlikely event of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with the New York SHIELD Act (General Business Law § 899-aa).

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of the personal information we hold about you. You may also withdraw any consent you previously provided. Children's privacy
The Site and Services are not directed to children under the age of thirteen (13). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site for at least thirty (30) days.
